NATAS MID-ATLANTIC ANNOUNCES EMMY CALL FOR ENTRIES

Category changes, entry deadlines, and location for 2019 awards announced

 

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) announced today two new categories and the entry deadlines for the 37th Annual Mid-Atlantic EMMY® Awards. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter will remove one category and add two new categories bringing the total number to 80. The new categories are:

  • News – Special
  • Societal Concerns – News Story

“The Emmy Awards are an opportunity for industry professionals to showcase their outstanding work. We look forward to another exciting year honoring some of the chapter’s most talented individuals and productions teams,” said Courtney Brinkerhoff-Rau, NATAS Mid-Atlantic Chapter President. “With the addition this year of a new category News – Special and Societal Concerns – News Story we hope to provide an even greater range of submission options.”

The NATAS Mid-Atlantic Chapter entries are being accepted now through April 26, with an early entry discounted deadline of April 5 and standard deadline of April 12. Entries submitted after April 12 will incur late fees. College entries are also being accepted through April 26. Nominees will be announced in August.

The 37th Annual EMMY® Awards will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Wyndham Grand Downtown in Pittsburgh, PA. The event will include a cocktail hour and auction to benefit NATAS scholarship programs, a sit-down dinner, and the award presentations.
