The National Italian American Political Action Committee (NIA-PAC) will present Gina Rubel, President and CEO of Furia Rubel Communications, with its Special Achievement Award in Legal Communications and Media on Saturday, February 7, 2009.
The award presentation will take place at Carnevale 2009, NIA-PAC’s Eleventh Annual Royal Italian Masked Ball at the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel at Front and Dock Streets in Philadelphia. Attendees will include national, state, and local officials, corporate executives, and civic leaders from the tri-state area (PA, DE, and NJ). Some of the previous honorees include: Dr. Antonio Giordano, Joseph H. Jacovini, Esq., Vincent F. Papale, Lisa Scottoline, Carol Tamburino, and the Honorable Anna Verna.
Other 2009 honorees include: the Honorable Mario Civera and the Honorable Ron Donatucci who will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards in Public Service, and Nicole A. Cashman who will receive the Special Achievement Award in Business.

A dedicated member of the community, Rubel supports philanthropy and service. In fact, her company received three Philadelphia Business Journal Top Givers Awards in 2008. She currently serves as Chancellor of the Justinian Society of Italian-American lawyers in Philadelphia, as chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Bar-News Media Committee, as a Drexel University Alumni Board of Governors, as a member of Drexel University’s Magazine Editorial Advisory Board, and as the Immediate Past President of the Women’s Business Forum.
A graduate of Drexel University and Widener University School of Law, Rubel resides in Doylestown, PA., with her husband, Scott, and their two children on a 250 year-old farm. She loves to spend time with her family and pets, travel around the world (especially to Italy), feed her photography addiction, write books and practice yoga.
