Dudnyk, an independently owned, healthcare and medical advertising agency amazed the healthcare advertising community when it became the first Philadelphia-area firm to win “Most Creative Agency” at the 25th Annual Manny Awards hosted by Med Ad News in New York City. Considered one of the most prestigious awards, Dudnyk’s creative team accepted the honor in front of more than 600 people at the April 24th event.
In an area better known for its cheesesteaks — the Horsham-PA firm competed with agencies from across the country, many twice its size, to become one of a handful of finalists and ultimately, the “most creative” winner.
“Years ago we set out to become the most creative shop in our industry, and this award solidifies the fact that we’ve reached our goal,” said Frank X Powers, President of Dudnyk. “It’s a special win for our employees and the clients who trusted and supported our work,” Powers added.
The winning submissions represented campaigns targeted at specialty physicians for drugs and devices that treat patients who have rare diseases: a pediatric oncology drug, a prophylactic treatment for hereditary angioedema, a new device to detect Sjögren’s syndrome in patients with dry eye, and a disease-state education campaign for Sjögren’s syndrome.
The Manny Awards is an annual award ceremony hosted by Med Ad News, a 30-year old publication that is the pharmaceutical industry’s publication of record. Held in New York City, the black-tie gala pays homage to the talents of the industry’s best. Dudnyk was recognized in three categories at this year’s 25th annual event: Most Creative Agency, Best Self Promotion Campaign and Best Medical Device Campaign.
“It’s the yardstick by which all agencies in healthcare are judged,” Powers said. “That’s how coveted the Manny awards are in our industry.”
