General Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers assist in various capacities depending on the program or event. Responsibilities may include:
- Event Assistance: Helping with all aspects of event planning and execution
- Outreach: Supporting communications to members, sponsors, and partners.
- Content Creation: Assisting with social media updates, photography, or event recaps.
- Community Impact: Building relationships with colleges, creating mentorship programs and finding ways to give back to the community we serve.
Time Commitment
We value flexibility! Volunteer roles range from one-time event support to ongoing committee involvement. Do you have time to support one event a year? How about a 3 month membership campaign? Let us know and we’ll make it work. Most committees meet once per month, either virtually or in-person, with a virtual attendance option available for all meetings.

General Volunteer Overview
General Volunteers are critical to the work of the Philly Ad Club. These individuals get to touch many different parts of the organization as catch all volunteers based on their skills and interests. We have opportunities available in administrative work for planning, setting up, and hosting events. For volunteers that lean more into the creative side of things, we have opportunities to create graphics, write copy, or photograph events. If you have an interest in something more specific, definitely reach out!
Content
The Content Committee partners with the Executive Director to develop, plan and prepare an annual programming schedule that supports Philly Ad Club’s mission and vision while meeting the needs of the members. The committee helps identify potential programs, speakers and issues of interest based established initiatives and goals.
This committee offers volunteers opportunities to jump in at various times of the year to support our Tent Pole events through specific subcommittees. Those events include include CMO Series, Impact & Innovation, Sip & Social .
Membership
To leverage this committee’s thought leadership and experience to grow membership, and to ensure the Philly Ad Club stays relevant by providing benefits that continue help our community of diverse agency, marketing, media, creative and communications professionals thrive.
On this committee, volunteers will serve as an ambassadors for Philly Ad Club, helping to grow membership through prospect outreach, personal connections, and staffing tables at events. You’ll collaborate with the Community Impact and Content Committees to support the Academic Membership Growth Initiative and work with the Brand and Community Impact Committees to develop membership acquisition strategies. Additionally, you will assist in member communications across club channels, evaluate existing member benefits, and help curate or develop new offerings to enhance the overall membership experience.
Community Impact
A Community Impact Committee volunteer plays a crucial role in establishing partnerships with local universities to connect college students with industry opportunities through career fairs, workshops, mentorship programs, and guest lectures. Volunteers collaborate with university career services to integrate Philly Ad Club resources into student events. Through these efforts, the Community Impact Committee ensures a pipeline of emerging talent while strengthening Philly Ad Club’s presence and membership within the region.
Beyond higher education, this committee focuses on carrying our DE&I principles throughout the Philly Ad Club by acting as liaisons with the other committees and Board of Directors. They specifically work with the Content Committee to inform programming decisions that have a DE&I purpose. This committee will lead the development of give back programs and volunteer opportunities for members to support the community we serve.
Brand/Marketing
The Brand and Marketing Committee oversees brand alignment and creation on all our social and digital platforms and strategies. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping to develop and grow the PAC brand and also improve our creative and social media content. Are you passionate about story telling and want to bring that expertise to the Ad Club events and programs throughout the year with photography and video. Do you have ideas to help us grow event attendance and engage our members year round? This is a new committee and welcomes your enthusiasm and creativity!
